Thin Green Line on American Flags

The thin green line on a US flag by most definitions honors conservation personnel, such as game wardens, park rangers, environmental protection officers.

The American flag with a single green stripe, also referred to as the Thin Green Line flag, also designates support for our military personnel and is also used to honor some federal law enforcement agents such as the border patrol.

The use of the green line flag was derived form the blue line Honoring Police, Red Honoring Fire Fighters and EMS, Yellow 9-11 dispatchers.
